If you want to drink more water, but aren't crazy about the taste (or lack thereof), here are some tips that can make it more enjoyable. All of the commercial products made by Coca Cola, Pepsi, and the like work towards convincing the public that their products are what we should be drinking. They don't discount drinking water because it's one of the cheapest to bottle and then resell; for a typically higher price than their chemical based counterparts. Not everybody likes the taste of plain water, but we all need it to ensure that our bodies continue functioning properly. So, what can we do to modify the taste of tap water?

How and when to drink water with lemon:

Beginning with a half cup of warm, purified or spring water. Squeeze out about half of the juice from a fresh lemon and stir. Either add more lemon juice or water, depending on your preference. You can also substitute lemon essential oil.

Extract lemon juice by using warm water by using cold and hot water together, as this will soften the lemon and allow more of the natural juices and oils to be released.

Much of the research on lemon water’s ability to detoxify the liver is centered around the antioxidant D-Limonene, which is more concentrated in the peel of the lemon. D-limonene has been shown to activate enzymes in the liver that lead to detoxification. It has also been shown to treat cancer.
